Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By installing SEO Bison (the “App”) from the Shopify App Store, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not install or use the App.

2. Service description

The App uses artificial intelligence to generate SEO-optimized blog content based on your Shopify product catalog. Content is generated as drafts for your review and approval before publication, unless you turn on automatic publishing in the App’s Autopilot feature, in which case the App publishes on the schedule you configure until you turn it off. You are responsible for reviewing all content you publish or allow the App to publish.

The App also provides a store SEO audit that reviews your storefront and, when you choose to apply a fix, updates the affected product fields in your store (such as SEO titles, meta descriptions, product descriptions and image alt text).

3. Billing

• Every installation starts on the Free plan, which has no charge and no time limit. The Free plan has limited features, as described on our pricing page. There is no separate free trial.
• Paid plans (Basic, Pro and Pro Max) are charged a monthly subscription fee via the Shopify Billing API. Billing periods are rolling 30-day periods starting from the date your subscription begins.
• Each paid plan includes an allowance of published posts, topic ideas and post improvements per billing period. Usage beyond an allowance is charged per item at your plan’s rates: per post published, per extra topic idea and per extra improvement. Current rates are shown on our pricing page and in the App.
• Drafts that you do not publish are not charged.
• Usage charges are subject to the usage cap you approve in Shopify when you subscribe.
• All charges appear on your Shopify invoice. You may cancel at any time from your Shopify admin under Apps; your store then returns to the Free plan.
• No refunds for posts already published or for the current billing period.

4. AI-generated content

• All blog posts are generated by AI and must be reviewed by you before publishing.
• The App includes a grounding check to flag unverifiable product claims, but this is not a guarantee of accuracy.
• You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and compliance of any content you publish.
• We do not guarantee that AI-generated content is free from errors, hallucinations, or copyright issues.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use the App to:

• Generate or publish false, defamatory, or misleading content.
• Infringe third-party intellectual property rights.
• Violate any applicable laws or Shopify’s Terms of Service.
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits or billing.

6. Data & API access

You grant us permission to access your Shopify store data (products, collections, articles, pages), to publish articles on your behalf, to update product fields when you apply a store audit fix, and to crawl your public storefront (using your storefront password if you provide one) for the store audit, as described in our Privacy Policy, solely to provide the App’s features.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that AI-generated content will achieve any particular SEO result.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the App is limited to the fees you paid in the 30 days preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.

9. Termination

You may terminate by uninstalling the App from your Shopify admin. We may suspend or terminate your access for material violation of these Terms with reasonable notice.

10. Changes

We reserve the right to modify these Terms. Material changes will be communicated via the Shopify admin. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
