Every install starts on the Free plan — free forever, no card, no time limit. There is no separate free trial: you move to a paid plan only when you choose to publish.
Paid plans are a fixed monthly charge, billed through Shopify on a rolling 30-day period. Beyond what your plan includes you pay per item: extra published posts (Basic $2.99 per extra blog · Pro $2.49 per extra blog · Pro Max $1.99 per extra blog), extra topic ideas (Basic $0.20 · Pro $0.20 · Pro Max $0.20 each) and extra improvements (Basic $0.50 · Pro $0.50 · Pro Max $0.50 each). Drafts themselves are never charged. You approve a usage cap when you subscribe, it all lands on your existing Shopify invoice, and you can cancel from your Shopify admin at any time (you drop back to Free).
What every paid plan includes
The capabilities are the same on every paid plan: full drafts with real citations and an FAQ, topic clusters, live-research topic ideas with a competition level, product links and your own product photos, scheduling, Autopilot and store-audit fixes. The plans differ only in how much you can produce each period.
Exactly what you are charged for
The flat monthly fee for your plan.
Extra published posts beyond the plan’s included posts, at the per-post rate shown on the card.
Extra topic ideas beyond the included ideas: Basic $0.20, Pro $0.20, Pro Max $0.20 each.
Extra improvements beyond the included improvements: Basic $0.50, Pro $0.50, Pro Max $0.50 each.
Drafts you never publish are not charged. Store audits and fix credits are included allowances on each plan. Prices and allowances on this page are read from the live plan settings, so they match what the app enforces.
How a typical month is billed
If you publish no more than your plan includes, and stay inside the included topic ideas and improvements, your bill for the period is the flat monthly fee and nothing else. Go over on any one of the three and only the extra items are charged, each at its own rate. Because the billing period is a rolling 30 days from when you subscribed rather than a calendar month, your allowances reset on your own renewal date.
Autopilot works inside the same numbers. Its safety ceiling stops it at your plan’s included posts, so leaving it running cannot push you into extra-post charges. If you want more posts than your plan includes, you can still publish them by hand and pay the per-post rate for the extras.

Which plan fits
Start on Free to sync your catalog, see topic ideas as titles and run store audits. Move to a paid plan when you want full drafts and publishing. If you publish weekly, compare the included posts on each card with how many you actually plan to publish, since extra posts cost more per post than included ones. Read what you get for the money on the Shopify AI blog writer page, the Shopify SEO audit page and the keyword research page, or see the docs for the full billing breakdown.
Questions, answered plainly
Is there a free trial?
No trial. There is a Free plan instead: 5 topic ideas a month (titles only) and 2 store audits a month (score only), free forever with no card and no time limit. Drafts, publishing and audit fixes need a paid plan.
How am I billed?
Through Shopify, on a rolling 30-day period, so every charge appears on your normal Shopify invoice. There is no separate payment method.
What am I charged for beyond the monthly fee?
Three things, only past what your plan includes: extra published posts (at your plan’s per-post rate), extra topic ideas ($0.20 each) and extra improvements ($0.50 each). Drafts themselves are never charged.
What is the usage cap?
When you subscribe you approve a usage cap in Shopify. It limits how much extra, beyond the monthly fee, can be charged in a period.
Can Autopilot run up an overage bill?
No. Autopilot’s monthly safety ceiling keeps it within your plan’s included posts, so it does not create overage charges.
How do I cancel?
Any time, from your Shopify admin under Apps. You drop back to the Free plan.
